Through market-oriented professional project operation, state-owned enterprises are leading an “experiment” for urban vitality renewal in SIP.

The Lakefront 158, jointly developed by SIP-based Sungent Group and Hengtai Holding, formally came into operation on the left bank of Jinji Lake late last month, reimagining retail spaces with trendy shopping experiences offered by shops and stores housed in refitted shipping containers.

On the other hand, elaborately designed facilities and services of state-owned enterprises are igniting a vibrant new sports culture across SIP’s waterways.
The Taohua Island in the heart of Jinji Lake has seen increasing visitors since it is renovated to provide more recreational options. Visitors can ride a water bike, tour the lake in mini yacht and experience the thrill of water go-kart.

This summer, the stand up paddleboarding training offered by New Era Group, an SIP-based art, cultural, sports and exhibition business operator, has piqued numerous people’s interest in the trendy water sport.

Another example is the Jinji Lake Runner Station which launched operations at Jinji Station 06 and Jinji Station 09 last month to provide convenience to running enthusiasts.

Run by Sungent Group, the service station offers a set of services for runners to temporally store their belongings, take a shower, rent equipment, get snacks and drinks, and hold social activities.
