The Suzhou Freight Station of Shanghai Airports in SIP successfully completed its first full-pallet cargo shipment on Oct 24, further streamlining its logistics service process.

Last Friday, the industrial goods weighing approximately 9 tons were loaded onto three air cargo pallets after going through the customs clearance and security inspection procedures at the freight station, and then directly transported to Shanghai Pudong International Airport, where they were transported to Europe on Oct 26 via a China Southern Airlines flight. The successful delivery of these cargoes signifies an improvement in the freight station’s logistics efficiency.

The freight station formally came into service in the comprehensive bonded area in SIP in April as the first trans-provincial, cross-customs-district air freight station in the country. It provides a set of services for cargoes from SIP and the surrounding areas to go through security and customs inspections before being exported through airports in Shanghai. So far, it has established partnerships with 27 domestic and international airlines and served nearly 50 importers and exporters.
