The Suzhou Center Mall in SIP and the Victoria and Albert Museum (often abbreviated as the V&A), the world’s largest museum of decorative arts and design, jointly launched an exhibition themed “Infinite Blooming” on the third floor of the mall on Oct 31, offering visitors a chance to savor the charm and essence of the natural gardens inspired designs by William Morris (1834-1896), a British artist, designer, craftsman, writer and socialist who dramatically changed the fashions and ideologies of his era.
The exhibition kicked off the mall’s eighth anniversary celebration and is the first of its kind held in a shopping mall in China.

As a key commercial hub for lifestyles in the Yangtze River Delta, Suzhou Center Mall has set a bridge between urban development and a better life through exceptional scene creation and content innovation. By gathering and integrating high-quality cultural, commercial, tourism and exhibition resources, it has successfully fostered a boundaryless integration of culture, art, business operations and urban lifestyles.

Established in 1852, the V&A houses treasures spanning 5,000 years of human creativity. Dedicated to advancing cultural knowledge dissemination, it inspires designers, artists and innovators worldwide, continuously sparking the inspiration and imagination of global creators.
The exhibition at the mall, highlighting William Morris’ designs inspired by natural gardens, not only reflects a profound resonance with the artist’s artisan philosophy and love for nature, but also represents a significant step by the mall in solidifying its role as a “cultural magnet”.

An ingeniously designed immersive art exploration route connects the artist’s creation trajectory and aesthetic world. Visitors sequentially step into the masterpieces zone, scenarized photography zone, works exhibition zone and merchandise zone, beginning their journey from the artist’s most renowned designs like “Strawberry Thief” and “Acanthus Leaf”.
The specially crafted English garden installation offers a wonderful setting for visitors to immerse themselves in the artistic charm and capture memorable moments of cultural aesthetics.
